Heads, Faces, and Masks on Roblox

A Roblox face is the expression on your avatar’s head, and the head itself can be swapped too. For a long time, players picked a flat classic face and a separate head. Roblox has been moving those classic heads and faces into dynamic heads, which are fuller head models that can show expression. Masks and smaller face accessories are a different layer. They sit on the head you already wear.

Heads, Classic Looks, and Dynamic Faces

Roblox announced that classic heads and classic faces now live in the Heads category of the Marketplace and in the avatar editor. A dynamic head can animate. Expression movement can be switched off, and some heads let you pick among shapes the account already owns. Saved avatars keep the head you chose and whether animation is on. The old separate “face decal” shelf is no longer the way the shop is organized. If a guide still tells you to hunt only for classic face pictures, it is behind the change.

Masks, glasses, freckle-style stickers, and other face accessories are still accessories. A full mask covers more of the head. Roblox also added a makeup category for color on eyes, lips, eyebrows, and face paint, including patterns like team colors. That category is for decoration. It is not a photo of a real person, and it is not something to describe in a grown-up way. Pick colors and shapes that feel like a character, then stop.

A look can mix a head, a face accessory, and hair. Change a single part, look at the preview, then decide on the next part. If a mask hides the expression you wanted, take the mask off or choose a smaller accessory. Stay kind. Do not build a face to mock a classmate, and do not upload a photo of a real child’s face. Roblox’s community rules apply to avatar items the same way they apply to chat.

• Accessories on Top

  Glasses, small decorations, and masks are separate items you equip over the head.

• Color, Not a Photo

  Face paint and simple color details can finish a character. Skip real people’s pictures.

Free heads and paid heads both show their terms on the item page. A parent should agree before any Robux is spent. No site outside Roblox can paste a new face onto your account, and any message offering Robux so you will “verify your face” is something to ignore. Never send a password, and never send a photo of yourself to a stranger.
