Where Roblox Hairstyles Actually Come From

Every wearable hairstyle on your avatar started as an item in Roblox’s Marketplace. Some were published by Roblox. Many more were published by creators. None of them come from a fan site, a direct message, or a “hair code” that is really just a made-up list.

The Marketplace Is the Source

Open the catalog on roblox.com, or the shop inside the Roblox app, and choose hair. You can also search the word hair. The results are item pages. Each page shows who made it, whether it is free, and what it costs if it is not. A number in the page address is just the item’s catalog id. It opens that page. It is not a promo code, and typing it into a redeem box will not grant the hair.

Roblox’s help explains the wearing part separately. You edit the avatar from the Avatar area, pick the hair category, and tap a piece you already own so it highlights. Owning it and wearing it are two steps. A style you do not own cannot be equipped, even if a thumbnail looks perfect.

Safety Before You Add Anything

Hair shopping is low drama when you stay inside Roblox. Run this check anyway.

• Use the official shop

  Add hair only from roblox.com or the Roblox app. A copied shop with a slightly wrong address is not the Marketplace.

• Read the item page

  Check the picture, the type, and the price there. Ignore a blog that promises the price will stay the same.

• Parent says yes to spending

  Free items can be taken without Robux. Anything with a price should wait for a grown-up.

• No password for a haircut

  Trying on hair never needs your login typed into chat, a form, or a browser extension.

What You Will Actually Find

The hair shelves are big. These are the ordinary things on them, not secret drops.

• Free classics

  Older styles are often free. You add them from the item page, then equip them in the editor.

• Paid creator styles

  Newer cuts are often sold for Robux. The item page shows the current cost.

• Pieces you can stack

  Bangs, clips, and a base cut are separate items. Wear the ones you own, until the editor’s limit.

• A saved outfit

  Once the hair, colors, and clothes feel right, save that look in the Avatar editor so it is easy to wear again.
